Lost Voice : (1) Boil liquorice roots, fruits of tree phyllanthus embellica (aambala), turmeric powder and lump sugar and drink it to get back lost voice.

(2) Eat black pepper in ghee after meal to get back lost voice.

(3) Mix 10 grams ginger juice, 10 grams lemon juice and 1 gram rock salt and drink it three times a day before meal to have a melodious voice.

(4) Eat rice cooked in jiggery every night to have a melodious voice.

(5) Eating mango flowers with sugar may help in lost voice.

(6) Drinking hot milk adding a teaspoon tumeric powder may help in lost voice.

(7) Drink boiled water with a tablespoon whole wheat.

(8) Eat well riped pomegranate (dadim) to regain lost voice.

(9) Gargling five to seven times a day with warm water adding salt and drinking warm milk adding tumeric and ghee may help in lost voice.

(10) Drink a teaspoon ginger juice with rock salt twice a day and avoid eating salty and astringent food items, cold drinks, cold water, tobaco, beatle nuts and wines in case of lost voice.

Bananas –  Beware

This is important, read carefully- this includes bananas from ShopRite .

Friends, we all love bananas and we eat a lot of them, but the bananas available in the market are forced ripe by dipping in water mixed with Carbide. The consumption of these bananas is 100% sure to cause Cancer or some other infection in the stomach. Therefore, such type of bananas is to be avoided.

But, how does one recognize the bananas ripened with the help of Carbide?

Bananas which are ripened naturally are dark yellow and there are small black spots here and there on the bananas and the stalks are black.

While those which are forced ripe with Carbide are lemon yellow and their stalks are green and moreover they are clear yellow without any black spots.

Now, what is Carbide and how is it harmful? Carbide is a chemical which if mixed with water, emits heat and the heat emitted by a Close tank mixed with Carbide is even more than that emitted by a LPG Cylinder, so much so it can be used for Gas Cutting (which means the calorific value is so high that it can replace LPG gas). In the same way, when the bunch of bananas is dipped in the water mixed with Carbide, the gas gets absorbed into the bananas and they get ripe. However, the banana vendors are not that literate and so they do not know the exact proportion of Carbide to be used for a dozen of bananas. As a result they end up using excess quantity of Carbide which gets absorbed into the bananas and ultimately enters our stomach. Due to this excess use of Carbide, tumors can be formed in our digestive system.

So, next time you purchase bananas, make sure you select the naturally ripened ones.

Breathing Therapy



The nose has a left and a right side; we use both to inhale and exhale.

Actually they are different; you would be able to feel the difference.

The right side represents the sun, left side represents the moon.

During a headache, try to close your right nose and use your left nose to breathe.

In about 5 mins, your headache will go?


If you feel tired, just reverse, close your left nose and breathe through your right nose. After a while, you will feel your mind is refreshed.


Right side belongs to ‘hot’, so it gets heated up easily, left side belongs to ‘cold’.


Most females breathe with their left noses, so they get “cooled off” faster.


Most of the guys breathe with their right noses, they get worked up.


Do you notice the moment we wake up, which side breathes faster? Left or right? ?


If left is faster, you will feel tired.

So, close your left nose and use your right nose for breathing, you will get refreshed quickly.


This can be taught to kids, but it is more effective when practiced by adults.


My friend used to have bad headaches and was always visiting the doctor.

Ulcer : (1) Drinking 200 to 250 ml cauliflower juice empty stomach first thing in the morning may cure ulcer.

(2) Grapes help in ulcer.

(3) Boil fenugreek seeds in water thoroughly, strain and drink three times a day preparing fresh every time.

(4) For the prevention of ulcer drink a glass of orange, mandarin, pear juice or any other fruit juice which is a good source of vitamin c every day before breakfast and do not take any food until the juice is digested.

Loss of appetite

Loss of appetite (1) Eating pomegranate (dadim) may help in loss of appetite.

(2) Mix pepper, rock salt and natron (hydrated sodium carbonate) to pomegranate juice and drink it.

(3) Eating ginger and jiggery may help in loss of appetite.

(4) Try fried garlic in ghee with bread or chapatti in case of loss of appetite.

(5) Cut lemon in two halves. Put ginger, pepper, cumin seed and rock salt all in powder form on both of them and warm them up. Sucking them may help in loss of appetite.

(6) Sock two tea spoon tamarinds in a glass of water overnight. Put jiggery, pepper and cardamom in the morning and drink.

(7) Make paste of 80 grams seeded dates, water of 10 grams tamarind, 5 grams raisins, 2 grams chilli powder, 2 grams ginger powder and salt according to your taste and eat.

(8) Drinking lemon juice with water and sugar may help.

(9) Crush and make paste of fresh spearmint (fudino), dry dates, pepper, rock salt, asafoetida (hing), raisins and cumin seeds. Add lemon juice to it and eat.

(10) Try drinking ginger juice and lemon juice 10 grams each adding 1.5 grams rock salt first thing in the morning.

(11) Pomegranate (dadim) juice with rock salt and honey may help.

(12) Crush coriander seeds, cumin seeds, pepper, spearmint (fudino), rock salt and raisins all together and add lemon juice to make paste. Eat it with food. This may help in loss of appetite.

(13) Eat coriander seeds, cardamom and pepper all in powder form mixed with ghee and lump sugar powder.

(14) Eat spearmint, ginger, coriander powder and rock salt boiled in tomato juice with food.

(15) Spread ginger and rock salt powder on pieces of tomatoes and eat them.

(16) A paste of garlic, coriander plant, ginger, sultana, sugar and rock salt may help in loss of appetite. It also helps digestion.

(17) Mix lemon juice and sugar in water and drink.

(18) Mix a very fine powder of ginger, pepper, long pepper and rock salt 10 grams each with 400 grams sultana. Keep it in a container and eat 5 to 20 grams twice a day.

(19) Make a paste of 200 grams ginger (skin taken off) and bake in 200 grams ghee until red, then add 400 grams jiggery and continue to bake until it is viscous form. Eat 10 grams of it twice a day morning and evening.

(20) Bake black small molybdenum and crush to powder. Mix rock salt powder to it and take a teaspoon of it with water before going to bed at night.

(21) Take molybdenum, long pepper, ginger and  pepper all in equal weight and in powder form. Mix jiggery twice the weight of them all and make pills of about 0.4  gram. Take two pills three times a day. This may help in loss of appetite, indigestion and coughing.

(22) Try drinking juice of a lemon in a glass of water adding a teaspoon sodium-bi-carbonate five minutes before meal.

(23) Mix ginger, pepper and natron (all in powder form) with lump sugar powder. Add lemon juice to make small pills. Take a pill at night before going to bed.

(24) Tamarind drink with cumin powder may help in loss of appetite.

(25) Drink one glass fresh (not sour) thick buttermilk adding mustard seed, cumin seed, asafoetida, ginger and rock salt all in powder form.

(26) Mix pomegranate juice, rock salt and honey and eat it.

(27) The remedy to loss of appetite depends on the cause of it. If the cause is gas (vat), then one should take anima. If excess of secretion of liver (pitta) is the cause then purging. If cough is the cause then vomiting is the remedy. If stress is the cause then eat tasty delicious food that is varieties that one likes most.

(28) Eating powder of roots and twigs of the plant piper longum (ganthoda) with few drops of lemon juice before meal may help.

(29) Mix a teaspoon ginger juice and a teaspoon lemon juice and add cardamom powder and ganthoda powder and eat before lunch and dinner. This may improve digestive power and also improve appetite within a week.

Cough and Coughing

Cough and Coughing (1) Boil milk adding black pepper powder and drink it.

(2) Mix ½ gram black pepper powder, 3 grams honey and some lump sugar (Sakar) powder and eat it.

(3) Mix ½ gram black pepper powder, 6 grams honey, 3 grams ghee and 3 grams lump sugar powder and eat it every morning and evening. This is a cure for any kind of cough.

(4) If the cough is very thick take ½ gram mustard seed powder, ¼ gram rock salt and 2 grams sakar.

(5) Take 10-15 grams of fresh ginger juice with equal amount of honey. This will release cough from throat and also cure gas trouble, heart problem, and upset stomach and will help digestion.

(6) Take in equal quantity of ginger juice, lemon juice and honey and add some long pepper powder and eat it twice a day.

(7) Just before eating take ginger juice, lemon juice and rock salt.

(8) Put some cloves in your mouth and keep sucking juice without chewing. It might be more effective if the cloves are baked by holding them in the flame of ghee lamp.

(9) Suck dry skin of pomegranate fruit.

(10) Drink juice of spearmint (Phudino) mixing with water.

(11) Eat roasted gram before going to bed at night and do not drink water or any drink on top of it.

(12) Thoroughly mix garlic, sugar and rock salt and then add ghee twice the  amount of it all and eat.

(13) Take 5 grams honey four times a day.

(14) If you are suffering from coughing for long time then try taking a teaspoon turmeric powder three times a day with water.

(15) Mix molybdenum (Harde), long pepper, ginger and black pepper all in equal quantity (by weight) and jiggery (Gol) twice the quantity of all of them. Make small pills of about ½ gram. Suck two pills three times a day.

(16) Boil in a small quantity of water with some cloves and betel plant leaves then crush them and drink water after straining.

(17) If you are suffering from dry coughing, then roast a cardamom with help of a needle in the flame of ghee lamp until it is black. Make powder and put it in ghee and honey (honey should be twice the amount that of ghee by weight). Eat this three or four times a day.

(18) Peel 200 grams ginger and crush it and fry in 200 grams ghee until it is red. Then add 400 grams jiggery and keep heating it until it is close texture. Eat 10 grams every morning and evening.

(19) Make small pieces of onion. Boil in water, strain and drink.

(20)  Boil two to four dry figs in milk. Eat the figs and drink the milk. This will help in lessening cough. (21) Eat 30-40 grams of gram (Chana) and drink 100-125 ml of milk before going to bed at night. This will get rid of cough in the windpipe in the morning.

(22) Ginger, black pepper, long pepper and rock salt each 10 grams in very fine powder form and 400 grams raisins crushed. Mix them all and keep in airtight container. Eat 5 to 20 grams of it in the morning.

(23) Try a small teaspoon of powdered mustard seeds with water.

(24) Mix cardamom, rock salt (both in powder form), ghee and honey (twice the amount of ghee) and eat morning and night.

(25) Theo bromine in cocoa helps to relieve from cough problem.

(26) Put seven leaves of Tulsi, seven small pieces of fresh ginger, three black pepper, and 8 to 10 small pieces of fresh turmeric on top of a betel plant leaf and on top of this 1.5 teaspoon of honey. Roll it and eat every morning and night. This will cure cough problem in 10 to 15 days.

(27) Mix in equal part of liquorice root (Jethimadh) and Aambla in powder form and take a teaspoon with water each morning and night.

(28) Mix little bit of mace and little bit of nutmeg both in powder form and eat it with a teaspoon of honey. This also helps in dry cough.

(29) Massage sesame oil on the chest everyday and warm up chest with hot water bag.

(30) Put a little bit of mustard powder and a tablespoon of lump sugar in milk and drink it.

(31) Take a teaspoon of raw or roasted bishop’s weed seeds (Ajamo) with water three times a day.

(32) Make powder of 5 to 7 cloves and take it with a teaspoon of honey every morning and night.

Insomnia (Sleeplessness)

Insomnia (Sleeplessness) (1) Eating very tender roasted eggplants at night with honey may help in getting sound sleep. Continue this for few days and it may help to cure insomnia.

(2) Eating onions with yogurt at night may help in getting good sleep.

(3) Pumpkin jam may help in sleeplessness. (Method: Take off skin of big pumpkin, avoid seeds and soft portion from inside and make pieces of about 50 grams. Boil them in water until cooked. Strain water and put pumpkin in syrup made of sugar twice in weight of pumpkin. (Saffron and cardamom may also be added if you like.)

(4) Liquidise kokum (garcinia indica) in water and add some sugar to prepare a drink. This may help to get good sleep.

(5) Eating an apple at night and then drinking a glass of milk for fifteen days may cure sleeplessness.

(6) Drink anise seeds extract in water.

(7) Eat powder of roots of a plant piper longum (Piperimul) mixed with jaggery and then drink hot milk.

(8) Take powder of a quarter of a nutmeg with water.

(9) Message ghee (made from cow milk) or castor oil on the bottom of both feet.

(10) Boil milk adding nutmeg, piperimul and sugar and drink it.

(11) 2 to 3 grams poppy seed powder with lump sugar and honey or lump sugar and ghee may help in getting good sleep.

(12) Walk 3-4 kilometres in the evening to get good sleep.

(13) Drink warm milk adding 8 to 10 drops almond oil before going to bed to get good sleep. You may feel freshness the following morning also.

(14) Drink warm milk with a teaspoon ghee and half teaspoon turmeric powder.
